Context[]
The Avar-Nigerian War began with Nigeria breaking free of the Songhai Empire and then warring Carthage. Avar, being allies to Carthage, went to war with Nigeria as a result. This war would be famous for the first major siege of any town on Nova: the Siege of Tondibi.
First Stages of the War[]
Nigeria before the war consisted of two towns: Tondibi and Kumasi. The war began on October 7, 2019, and the Carthaginian and Avarian forces quickly secured Kumasi, which would lead to the Siege of Tondibi.
Siege of Tondibi[]
The Siege would be the first large-scale siege of a capital city on Nova. Beginning a day or so after the war began, Tondibi has been under constant siege for more than two days, slowly being conquered by Avar.

In the midst of the siege, Avar came up with the military strategy of having as many poorly equipped players inside the city limits as possible, as an intimidation tactic and a way to end the siege faster. During the siege, Avar soldiers sat bored and waiting for the siege to end, while tending to the crops and exploring the city. However, by the time the photo to the right had been taken, Notewoke of Laika, a visitor to the siege, nuked all of the forces taken in the photo, almost breaking the siege.
Aftermath[]
By October 10, the war came to an end, as Nigeria became fully incorporated into the Avar nation. Nigeria would be the first nation to be completely conquered by another nation.
