While it is a common misconception that the HMS Commonwealth's name comes from the British Commonwealth, it is actually inspired by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts nation on Gaia, which was bencrab1's first Nation.

History[]

September[]

On September 22, the HMS Commonwealth was created by bencrab1 in the middle of the North Sea, but will remain static for a week while the Admiral gathered enough money to expand the city limits.

On September 27, construction on the HMS Commonwealth officially began with the foundations being laid on that day. By September 28, all but the masts and sails were constructed. A day later, half the sails and all of the masts were constructed. By this point, the Ship started to emerge as a trading hub for the whole of the North Sea.

By September 30, the boat finished construction.

October[]

During the Australian Nuclear Conflict, the boat was one of the few places not targeted by any nation during the war, leaving it the sole Norman town not irradiated. By October 4th, the HMS Commonwealth boasts shops from Sweden, Hansa, and other nations as part of the North Sea Trade Union.

Before the Norman Crusade Against Carthage began, the leader of Carthage DeltaOrion and Admiral bencrab1 made a deal to keep the HMS Commonwealth away from a siege, mostly due to its insignificance and the fact that Carthage was more interested in sieging Amsterdam or Black Haven. But it did not matter, as Carthage and the Norman Empire made a gentlemen's agreement to not siege down any of each other's towns.

Originally, FlyNovus was going to service the ship. However, seeing as there was no space for an airport on board, Airplaneguy9 decided to boat passengers from nearby Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, for an extra fee.

The marketplace onboard the Commonwealth would expand, including shops from both Normandy and Amsterdam.

Near the height of the Norman Crusade Against Carthage, the Carthaginians made plans to storm the Commonwealth from the recently conquered Amsterdam. But recent battles have put a hold on these plans.

After the Crusade ended, many other shipbuilding projects occurred throughout Nova, including a giant boat being constructed in Hampton Bay and the town of Orca, as well as a new boat town, the INS Moses, being created by Moses__.
